灣區實踐: “用行動來印證” 大灣區青年領袖2024

        「2024大灣區青年領袖選舉」7月6日在深圳市南山區圓滿舉辦。香港文化藝術界的陳永業先生獲選為「大灣區青年領袖」之一。

The "2024 Greater Bay Area Youth Leaders Election" was successfully held on July 6 in Nanshan District, Shenzhen city. Mr. Chan Wing Yip from Hong Kong's cultural and arts sector was selected as one of the "Greater Bay Area Youth Leaders“.

“說好大灣區故事，攜手共創國家未來”：

"Sharing the Greater Bay Area Story, Building the Nation's Future Together"：

      「2024大灣區青年領袖選舉」的目的為表揚具有傑出領袖才能，對香港及祖國有承擔的18至35歲青年，並鼓勵其成為積極公民及發展領袖潛能。本年，主辦單位以「聯繫灣區，綻放潛能」為題，希望藉此提供一個平台，讓粵港澳三地的青年可以互相交流和互補，共同協強制反饋社會，貢獻國家。

The purpose of the "2024 Greater Bay Area Youth Leaders Election" is to recognize outstanding young leaders aged 18 to 35 who demonstrate exceptional leadership skills and a strong commitment to Hong Kong and our nation. It also aims to encourage them to become proactive citizens and further develop their leadership potential. This year, under the theme "Connecting the Bay Area, Unleashing Potential", the organizers seek to provide a platform for young people from Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macau to engage in meaningful exchanges, complement one another’s strengths, and work together to give back to society and contribute to our nation.

“學做自己，用行動印證名譽”

"Be Yourself, Prove Your Honor Through Action."

陳永業先生發表獲獎感言（Mr. Chan Wing Yip delivered his acceptance speech）

        在演講中，他強調：藝術不僅在於高度，更在於其能夠帶動大眾理解社會議題。在藝術創作過程中，需要關註可持續發展目標、老人、幼兒實踐、殘疾、少數族裔、非遺、中外文化等多個方面。

In his speech, he emphasized that art is not only about excellence but also about its ability to engage the public in understanding social issues. In the process of artistic creation, it is essential to consider various aspects, including the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), elderly and early childhood engagement, disability, ethnic minorities, intangible cultural heritage, and the interaction between Chinese and foreign cultures.

        自2014年意大利大賽獲冠軍後，陳永業帶領的「非遺、科藝」篋敲擊樂團在無背景支撐的情況下，通過多年努力，獲得了多個資助和商圈的認可。樂團每年為香港帶來20多個主辦、合演項目，服務超過2萬名觀眾。本年規劃暑期帶領250位港青於灣區兩地看祖國！

Since winning the championship at the prestigious competition in Italy in 2014, the “Intangible Cultural Heritage and Science & Technology" Percussion Ensemble, led by Mr. Chan Wing Yip, has gained recognition from various sponsors and business circles through years of effort, despite lacking initial backing. The ensemble organizes more than 20 projects annually in Hong Kong, collaborating with other performances and serving over 20,000 audience members. This year, they plan to lead 250 Hong Kong youth to visit both sides of the Greater Bay Area during the summer, to explore their homeland.

        “今日獲選我認為，所有名譽不是因獲得左“所以我們應怎樣”，而重要既係： 以以後既路，去印證我們”何德何能“去值得這稱號。“ 陳永樂先生說道。作為灣區青年，常聽身邊朋友追求應該「做自己」，同意知行合⼀，但在此之若希望為身邊環境作貢獻，我國有⼀常言，先修身、齊家、治國，即於 「做自己」前加個 「學」,「學做自己」所有名譽應有後續行動去印證。

"Being selected today, I believe, is not about having earned the title, but more importantly, it is about the future path we take to prove our worthiness for this honor," said Mr. Chan Wing Yip. As a youth of the Greater Bay Area, he often hears friends around him advocating for the idea of "being yourself". He agrees with the notion of integrating knowledge and action, but also believes that, if one wishes to contribute to their surroundings, there is an old saying in our culture: "First cultivate oneself, then harmonize the family, and govern the nation." This implies that before "being yourself," one should first "learn." "Learning to be yourself" is key, and any honor should be followed by actions that prove its worth.

作為獲選青年領袖之一，陳永樂先生表示，取得今天的成績，離不來良師益友以及自己的堅持不懈，今後也將在鉆研和創業路上砥礪前行。獲評為「大灣區青年領袖」，將激勵他更加積極主動地發揚專業精神、奉獻精神，為促進粵港合作、灣區融合作出更多探索努力。

As one of the selected Youth Leaders, Mr. Chan Wing Yip stated that achieving today's success would not have been possible without the guidance of mentors, supportive friends, and his own persistent efforts. Moving forward, he will continue to forge ahead in his pursuit of research and entrepreneurship. Being named a "Greater Bay Area Youth Leader" will inspire him to actively promote professionalism and a spirit of dedication, and to make further efforts in exploring ways to enhance cooperation between Guangdong and Hong Kong, as well as contribute to the integration of the Greater Bay Area.

關於筆者 About the author

        筆者 Gip Chan 為香港藝團篋敲擊樂團藝術總監，多年中小學敲擊樂團指揮、音樂總監和顧問，於香港學界帶領學校和同學屢獲殊榮，協助青年成員考取中、浸大、港大、教大、演藝學院以及海外音樂學府資格，亦擔任海內外多個省級國際級比賽評審。除了演奏與教育，現於國內華南地區一等學府星海音樂學院擔任藝術管理本科畢業生論文導師、行進樂隊導師及研究藝術管理，陳氏曾擔任電影檢察組顧問成員、現香港藝術發展局(音樂)資助審批員，致力推動打擊樂亞太和兩岸深度交流發展。     

The author, Gip Chan, is the Artistic Director of the Hong Kong Percussion Ensemble. With many years of experience as a conductor, music director, and advisor for percussion ensembles in primary and secondary schools, he has led schools and students to numerous awards in Hong Kong's academic community. He has assisted young members in gaining qualifications for institutions such as CUHK, HKBU, HKU, Education University of Hong Kong, the Academy for Performing Arts, and overseas music schools. Additionally, he has served as a judge for various provincial and international competitions both domestically and abroad. Beyond performance and education, Gip Chan currently serves as a thesis supervisor for undergraduate students in Arts Management at Xinghai Conservatory of Music, a top-tier institution in southern China, as well as a marching band instructor and a researcher in arts management. He has also been an advisor to the Film Censorship Group and is currently a funding approval officer for the Hong Kong Arts Development Council (Music). He is dedicated to promoting in-depth exchange and development of percussion music in the Asia-Pacific region and across the Taiwan Strait.
